   Aqida عقيدة

   al-Shaykh Alawan الشيخ علوان Aqida عقيدة . This is the creed (aqida) of Alawan Ali Ibn Atiya Ibn Hasan Ibn Muhammad Ibn al-Haddad al-Hamawi علوان علي بن عطية بن حسن بن محمد بن الحداد الحموي (died 936/1530). On two more mss. of this still unedited text see GAL S II 437 nr. 2. The text is followed by the beginning of an Aqida by al-Yafi'i al-Yamani اليافعي اليمني (mentioned in GAL S II 228 nr. 18).
